Gas Safe Register
Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom and Isle of Man, appointed by the HSE. Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009. The sole focus of the register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. Only Gas Safe registered engineers can legally work on any gas appliances or pipework. Only Gas Safe Registered Companies can legally use the Gas Safe logo. All Gas Safe Registered engineers will carry an official identity card.
OFTEC
Oil Firing Technical Association - operates a Registration scheme, which enables identification of those Technicians who have proved that they have the skill to ensure safe and efficient installation and servicing of oil appliances and work to the highest standards. Registration is awarded in two parts, Individual and Business. Only current Technicians and current Companies covered by both Individual and Business Registration can use the OFTEC Approved Logo on their publicity materials and vehicles, and describe themselves as OFTEC Registered. Registered technicians will always carry an official identity card.
